For Field Day 2018 we camped up on the Mogollon Rim in AZ. Several hams brought up tents. Some slept in their cars. A few came up for just the day and drove back later that night. 2 of the less sturdy operators glamped in a small travel trailer. One of the guys even woke every one up early by running his generator for the sole purpose of making coffee.

There were several times driving up it looked as if we were on the top of the world. Upon reaching the summit in a road you’d see only the blue of the sky. AWESOME! I apologize there are no pictures of this but it was the whole driving and taking pictures at the same time thing. You understand.

This picture is of the screen on my Yaesu FT-2DR. It has a built-in GPS function which showed our position and altitude while working Field Day. I thought it cool so I have included it here.
